Several AFT Local 1904 officers and delegates attended the annual conference of The National Center for the Study of Collective Bargaining in Higher Education and the Professions. The conference took place in New York City on March 23th, 24th, and 25th. The theme of the conference was "Defense of Higher Education and Collective Bargaining." The keynote presentation, "Unity in Defense of Higher Education and Collective Bargaining," featured Randi Weingarten, President, American Federation of Teachers, and Lynn Pasquerella, President, American Association of Colleges and Universities. Officers attended panels on topics such as how AI is changing the bargaining landscape, antiracism and social justice issues as negotiable subjects, working with labor management committees, and many others.
