The American Federation of Teachers (AFT) Local 1904 is the Union representing Montclair State University Faculty, Instructional/Clinical Specialists, Professional Staff, and Librarians. Our objectives are:
- to protect and promote the rights of our members
- to raise the standards of education
- to oppose all forms of racism and discrimination in education
- to provide our members with the best possible conditions for the practice of education
