While addressing the Board of Trustees on Thursday, June 7, 2013, Rich Wolfson, President of AFT Local 1904, extended congratulations to those reappointed and promoted and recognized the 11 new tenure-track faculty appointments. He also commented on the increases in tuition and fees, managerial raises, and the 28 contract awards to a variety of vendors including Walmart. Last, but not least, Wolfson wished Frank Schwartz, Special Assistant to the President, good luck as he moves on from the University.
AFT Local 1904 will be holding a General Union Meeting in on June 24th at 1 p.m. in SC 419. At this meeting we will be discussing several important matters including the tuition waiver program for employees. In addition, we will be wishing one of our own a fond farewell. Betsy Montanez will be leaving the University for another position at Bronx Community College. We hope to see you there.
