What is Relay for Life?
Relay For Life is a team fundraising event which unites our community to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action to finish the fight once and for all. Each Relay for Life event is 6-24 hours in length and each team is asked to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. Cancer patients don't stop because they're tired, and for one night, neither do we. The funds raised through Relay for Life help to support initiatives such as cancer research, prevention and education programs, services for cancer patients, and advocacy initiatives.
How to Get Involved
1. Join a team! Create a team with folks in your department or around campus. Work together to raise money, then take part in the event! You can create a team here
2. Volunteer! We are always looking for volunteers to assist the day of the event. If you are interested in volunteering at Relay for Life, please contact Emily Cordero at email@example.com
3. Make a donation! You do not have to be on a team to make a donation to the cause. If you would like to make a contribution to MSU's Relay for Life, you can do so here
4. Participate in the Survivor and Caregiver Lap! At each Relay event, there is a lap dedicated to honoring the survivors and caregivers in attendance. If you are a survivor or caregiver and would like to participate, register for Relay and indicate you are a survivor or caregiver, you can do so by calling 1-800-227-2345 or registering online at relayforlife.org/montclairs
tatenj. Registration is free for all survivors and caregivers!
